How do I activate my license?
Your license is tied to your shop and activates when you enter it in the Connection settings. If you've replaced a machine or need a fresh license, email us and we'll get you a new one — installs at your location are unlimited.
Does it change my PowerFab data?
No, it's read-only. FabIS Pulse never writes to your PowerFab database — we recommend connecting with a read-only database user, so it's safe by design.
My dashboards look out of date — how do I refresh?
FabIS Pulse pulls fresh data on demand — use the refresh action in the app, and it also refreshes in the background on a new day. If a panel still looks off, email support and we'll take a look.
Where does my data live?
On your own network. FabIS Pulse runs on a Windows PC in your shop and reads your PowerFab database directly — nothing is uploaded to the cloud.
What do I need to run it?
A Windows PC in your shop that can reach your PowerFab (SQL Server) database. If you run PowerFab, you can run FabIS Pulse — no extra servers or cloud accounts.
Does it slow down PowerFab?
No. FabIS Pulse reads your database read-only and runs alongside PowerFab — it doesn't lock records or change how PowerFab performs.
How many people can use it?
As many as you like at your location — your shop license covers unlimited installs, so anyone from the floor to the front office can have it on their screen.
How fast will I see my dashboards?
Fast — once it's installed and connected to your PowerFab database, your dashboards fill in within minutes. No data migration, no long onboarding.
Do I need an IT person to set it up?
If you can install a standard Windows program and you have your PowerFab database details handy, you're most of the way there. We walk you through the connection step on your demo, and we're here if you need a hand.
Which Tekla PowerFab versions does it work with?
FabIS Pulse reads a standard Tekla PowerFab (FabSuite) database. Tell us the version you're on and we'll confirm compatibility on your demo call.
Does it work if our PowerFab is hosted, or only on our own server?
As long as FabIS Pulse can reach your PowerFab database, it works — whether that database lives on a server in your shop or is hosted elsewhere. We'll check your setup with you on the demo.
Can I use it across more than one shop?
Yes — FabIS Pulse reads each location's PowerFab data, so if you run more than one shop, let us know and we'll get each one set up.
Can I export the numbers?
Yes — most screens have an Export CSV option, so you can pull any view into a spreadsheet to share or dig into further.
